Dog Days

The weather cooperated, and the Anderson Animal Shelter of South Elgin came through again! The Honors Program put on another successful Puppy Study Break last week. Thanks to Lacey Wells and her helpers for the legwork, and to JSO for the popsicles.

The Honors Program will once again bring puppies to campus from Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin for stress relief during exam week, with refreshments sponsored by JSO. This year the puppies will be on the lawn outside the Lindner Commons on Wednesday, May 3 from 11:00-1:00. All are welcome to bring their own dogs — the more the merrier!

We had another successful Puppy Stress Relief study break event on campus today.

For the third consecutive exam week The Honors Program has coordinated with the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin to bring puppies to campus, to the delight of dogs and students alike.

Faculty, students, and friends were encouraged to bring their own dogs as well, so we had a full contingent of both dogs and people to enjoy some play time.

We had dogs large . . .

And small . . .

And, of course, refreshments…

Many thanks to Crystal Barker,  Jon Richardson, Nate Rozanski, and Kimmy Blake for putting it all together.
